How many people would eat meat grown in a lab from an edible gelatin base? It seems thats where food production is going.

Researchers at Harvard has allegedly successfully grown cow and rabbit meat in an edible gelatin base for the first time. They say this “cultured” meat is very similar to the look and texture of real meat.

“Lab-grown or cultured meat could revolutionize food production, providing a greener, more sustainable, more ethical alternative to large-scale meat production,” a statement from the Harvard Science Department reads.

“Moving forward, the goals are nutritional content, taste, texture ad affordable pricing. The long-range goal is reducing the environmental footprint of food,” said Kit Parker, Harvard professor of bioengineering.

They say this lab-grown meat will help reduce the environmental footprint on food, but what about the longterm health effects of eating meat grown in a lab?
