Jussie Smollott has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit the city of Chicago has filed against him to recoup the cost of their investigation into Jussie’s alleged racist and homophobic attack. The city of Chicago feels the attack was fake. Jussie says the even IF he lied about the attack, there is no way he could have foreseen the enormous amount of money that Chicago PD spend on the case. He also adds that the city has not shown any receipts for the costs they so speak of. 

The City of Chicago claims they spend at least $130,000 on the case. They want Jussie to cover its attorney fees and wants punitive damages. In total, they want almost $500,000 from Jussie.
