A young man, Terrance Epps Jr., 16, has turned himself into the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night after police had a murder warrant for his arrest. The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday on South McDaniels Street. The victim, Trashon Rhem was shot and later died at Vidant Medical Center.

Epps is in jail without bond. No motive has been given.
