Hurricane Florence School Closings

Hello Eastern Carolinians, below we have some info on school closing for the upcoming week, that can hopefully help you through Hurricane Florence. We’re 101.9 Kiss FM, with you all the way!

East Carolina University will cancel classes ahead of Hurricane Florence. The university says classes scheduled to start after noon Tuesday will be canceled. All classes will then be canceled for the remainder of the week.

Carteret County Schools has announced it will be closed and there will be no school for the rest of this week. Tuesday is also an optional workday for school system employees.

Craven Community College closed for the rest of the week.

Pamlico Community College Closing Early at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Tuesday, Closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Hyde County Schools closed for the rest of the week.

Lenoir County Schools Early Dismissal at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday

New Bern Christian Academy Closed Wednesday

Onslow County Schools are closed for the rest of the week.

Beaufort County Schools Closed Wednesday: Optional teacher workday

Bertie County Schools – Closed Wednesday

Duplin County Schools Early Dismissal at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Wednesday and closed Thursday and Friday.

Edgecombe Community College closed for the rest of the week.

Pitt County Schools Early Dismissal 3 hours Wednesday: No after-school activities and all schools will be closed Thursday and Friday. 

Winterville Charter Academy Early Dismissal at 12:00 PM on Wednesday.

Pitt Community College closed for the rest of the week.

Martin Community College closed for the rest of the week.
